Happy One Year, Henrik!
It feels just like yesterday that I met this little one at his Fresh48 session, one day after he was born. I'm not kidding when I say that time flies! This particular session captures—no pun intended!—why I love what I do so much. Not only am I partaking in these special milestones with these amazing new parents, but I get to watch these little ones grow!
This time around, Henrik's mom Ana joined us for his 1-year birthday session (dad was working). You might actually recognize Ana, she is a well-known lifestyle blogger in Toronto, better known as @bluebirdkisses on Instagram. I really loved watching these two explore the room together, not to mention capturing those chubby thighs and toes!
My session with Anna and little Henrik was so much fun. One year olds are sure busy...this little guy was an energizer bunny, but that didn't stop us from capturing some great moments. We started the session with some sweet candids of Henrik just being himself, and finished things off with the most perfect little cake.
Henrik wasn't sure about the cake at first, but he was definitely loving all the blueberries on top! It's always fun to see the kids' reaction when the cake comes out. Some go nuts and all in, while others have their eyes bulging, unsure of what to do next. Henrik was definitely diligent in sampling the cream of his blueberry birthday cake! He's adorable.
Henrik was so well-behaved during the session and is an absolute sweetheart. He is all boy and very busy, with such a contagious personality! He was all smiles the entire time, which made for the sweetest candids—definitely capturing Mom's heart.
